Why I Created my On-Demand Movement Library
When I first imagined building an On-Demand platform, it wasn’t just about making classes available online. It was about accessibility, continuity, and encouragement. It was about supporting people in ways that go beyond what’s possible in a once-a-week session and reaching those I might never meet in the studio.
Supporting Clients Beyond the Studio
Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful regular, focused practice can be. The evidence supports it: movement done consistently and with intention has a profound and lasting effect. Many of my clients would say they tried to remember the movements and cueing I gave them during our sessions when practising at home, but it never felt quite the same. I wanted to change that. I wanted their "homework" to feel just as supported, guided, and effective - as if I were right there beside them. Now, with my On-Demand Library, they can take me (and my classes) with them, wherever they go.
A Global but Personal Resource for Pilates Teachers and Students
As a mentor and teacher-trainer with Polestar Pilates UK - part of a globally recognised movement education school - I’ve had the privilege of working with Pilates professionals and students from many corners of the world. While I love teaching in person, it simply isn’t realistic to offer the same support to everyone who wants access, even just here in the UK. The On-Demand platform became a way for me to extend that connection: to offer structured guidance, deeper context, and a space where movement and teaching intersect.
I’ve created sequences that go beyond simply demonstrating exercises. They reveal the relationships between them. This helps both movers and teachers develop a layered understanding of how the body integrates. For teachers in training, this also becomes a place to observe how I cue, the different ways I structure classes, and how embodiment evolves over time. It’s support beyond technique; it’s mentorship in motion.
This past year has been incredibly rewarding for me as a mentor, to have been able to expand my support by offering my library as a valuable resource. The feedback has been truly affirming.
A Passion for Supporting Pregnant and Postnatal women
Another significant aspect of my work is my deep passion for supporting women throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period. This is such a transformative time in a woman’s life, and access to intelligent, empowering movement guidance is invaluable. Yet, it's also a time when availability, energy, and income are stretched.
I grew up immersed in the Active Birth Movement, so it feels natural that I would find my way to this role, combining my passion for movement with my desire to support women. Early on in my Pilates career, I became a qualified Pilates Pre- and Postnatal Specialist because I wanted to ensure I was teaching from a place of being accurately and effectively informed. Later, I trained as a doula, realising how vital it was to deepen my understanding of the physiological and emotional processes surrounding pregnancy, labour, and postnatal recovery. This experience also gave me invaluable insight into the UK systems that support women and the choices available to them.
My drive to help women feel empowered through each stage of motherhood only grew. I wanted to ensure that women were not just moving, but moving safely, confidently, and in a way that nurtured their individual needs. I wanted to do my bit to help them to be heard, respected, and cared for at every step of their journey.
Being a mother to three daughters and managing a busy career has meant I’ve faced my own limitations in what I can offer in-person. But it’s with great joy that I’ve been able to create dedicated Prenatal and Postnatal Libraries on my platform, so I can reach and support even more women from all over.
For pregnancy, I offer trimester-specific movement sequences designed to support mobility, breath, alignment, integrated stability, and pelvic health. It’s gentle but purposeful, intelligent support for a transformative time in a woman’s life.
The Postnatal Library is focused on recovery and reintegration, with a particular emphasis on making the classes safe and effective for women healing from pregnancy and birth-related injuries. In a world where, unfortunately, prenatal and postnatal care often falls short, I’m determined to make a difference by providing accessible, informed support to as many women as I can within my scope of practice.
A Platform with Purpose
Creating this platform was about bridging gaps: between in-person and at-home, between teaching and learning, between recovery and resilience. It’s a place where more people can benefit from the methods I’ve spent years refining. It’s affordable, accessible, and deeply personal.
Next month, I’ll share more on Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) as part of Diastasis Awareness Month, including the detailed training that’s shaped my approach and how it’s helped me, and many others, find real, lasting healing.
