About me

My name is Bethia Hope-Rollins. My Pilates career began in 2001 when, after a short period of working in the office environment post university, I realised that a sedentary lifestyle was not for me. I found Pilates and rekindled the love of movement I had as a child and teenager when I had practiced gymnastics and then Kung Fu.

Now, more than twenty years on, I am a comprehensively qualified teacher of Matwork, Equipment and Pre & Postnatal Pilates. I am also a Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) certified exercise specialist, a Hypopressives trainer and have more recently spent the last two years deepening my understanding of fascia with MovingFascia on their Embodied Anatomy Diploma & Teacher Training Program.

I believe I bring a wealth of experience to my teaching. I have worked with hundreds of clients over the years, from all walks of life, choosing Pilates in order to improve their movement for a whole host of differing reasons. I am passionate about helping people to realise their movement potential and feel in doing so I can contribute to my clients living more dynamic and healthy lives.

I have also held the privileged position of being a mentor and educator for Polestar Pilates UK since 2009. I am part of the Polestar team, educating the Gateway and Mat Pilates training courses in the UK. My mentoring role enables me to support the professional growth of teachers in training, developing their teaching skills alongside their own movement ability. It is a rewarding position to be in.

Along the way I have also created my own professional workshops to support Pilates teachers working with pre and postnatal woman in the Pilates environment. I have trained as a Doula, to provide support to women through pregnancy, labour and birth, and I am raising my own three wonderful daughters.

In 2016 I co-founded Dynamic Osteopathy Cambridge (DOC) with my husband Daniel Rollins. DOC is an osteopathic clinic with ‘in house’ Pilates studio in central Cambridge, UK. Our intension was to provide an environment where we, and other like-minded and skilled practitioners could work alongside each other in order to widen the scope to provide the public with intelligent exercise and holistic therapeutic treatment. It is a modern, spacious and inviting environment to work in and we have a wonderful community of clients and patients.

New in 2024 is the launch of my On Demand Library, Movement with Bethia Hope-Rollins. A long planned dream has finally come into reality and I now have an online space available to support clients with their personal practice at home. Pilates and intelligent mind body exercise, is about improving the way we move. To do that we have to practice these new found movement patterns and I have created this space to motivate, guide and challenge your personal movement journey. Please see my membership page to learn how to join me there.

Mentoring

My role as a Course Educator for Polestar Pilates UK has given me the privilege of supporting and guiding many teachers in training through their learning journey. It’s a role I value deeply.

It is genuinely rewarding to accompany students as they grow into confident, thoughtful teachers, offering support throughout their Mat, Reformer or Comprehensive training — and beyond — to help refine their movement understanding and continue developing their teaching skills.

Mentoring Through Practice

Alongside my in-person and one-on-one mentorship, I’ve created the Mastering the Mat Library as a dedicated, affordable resource for Pilates teachers in training. It offers a structured way to deepen your movement embodiment, refine your technique, and hear consistent, purpose-led cueing — all of which are essential when learning to teach from a place of clarity and lived experience. Pilates is, after all, a practice. Repetition matters. Returning to the work again and again is how we truly understand it, and how we learn to communicate it with others with confidence.

This library gives you guided self-practice at a very low cost — from as little as £18 per month for unlimited access — with new classes added regularly. It directly supports both Mat and Comprehensive students, but is beneficial for any Pilates trainee, and if you are training with Polestar Pilates, anywhere in the world, sessions can be logged as part of your self-practice hours. For many trainees, it’s a way of receiving high-quality mentorship without the financial pressure of frequent 1:1 sessions, while still gaining the depth, detail, and progression essential to becoming a skilful teacher.

If you’d like more direct support, I also offer in-person mentoring sessions from my Cambridge studio, as well as live online support, and I regularly lead teaching practice days at Polestar Pilates UK in London.
